Functional Medicine Services
Personalized Wellness at BeautyEtc
At BeautyEtc Aesthetics, we believe that looking your best and feeling your best are the same conversation.
Mary Dealy, FNP-C brings together the precision of functional medicine and the art of aesthetic care under one roof — because true wellness isn't just skin deep. Our functional medicine services are built around a simple premise: your symptoms have a cause, and finding it changes everything.
Using advanced diagnostic testing, comprehensive hormone evaluation, and individualized treatment protocols, Mary takes the time to understand your full health picture — not just the presenting complaint. Whether you are navigating the hormonal shifts of perimenopause, struggling with unexplained fatigue and gut symptoms, or simply ready to feel like yourself again, you will find a practice that takes you seriously.
This is healthcare that listens. That investigates. That treats the whole person — and gets results.
Hormone Replacement & Optimization
Hormones are the body's master messengers — and when they're off, everything feels off. At BeautyEtc Aesthetics, we take a comprehensive, root-cause approach to hormone optimization that goes beyond simply replacing what's missing. Mary Dealy, FNP-C evaluates your full hormonal picture — estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, thyroid, and insulin — to understand how your unique biochemistry is contributing to your symptoms.
Whether you're navigating fatigue, weight changes, mood shifts, low libido, or brain fog, hormone optimization is designed to restore balance at the system level — not just manage symptoms. Treatment plans are individualized, evidence-based, and adjusted over time as your body responds.
This is precision medicine for how you actually feel — not just what your labs say is "normal."
Gut Health & GI Restoration
Your gut is the foundation of nearly every system in your body — immune function, hormone balance, mood, energy, and nutrient absorption all depend on a healthy digestive tract. When something is off in the gut, the effects show up everywhere.
At BeautyEtc Aesthetics, we use advanced functional testing — including comprehensive GI mapping — to identify the root causes of your digestive symptoms rather than masking them. Whether you're dealing with bloating, reflux, fatigue, food sensitivities, H. pylori, or chronic inflammation, we build a targeted treatment protocol addressing the specific imbalances driving your symptoms.
Healing the gut isn't just about digestion. It's about restoring the foundation your whole body runs on.
Perimenopause Program
Perimenopause doesn't announce itself cleanly. It shows up as years of disrupted sleep, unexpected weight gain, mood changes, brain fog, and a creeping sense that your body isn't responding the way it used to — often long before your periods change. And more often than not, standard lab work comes back "normal."
Our Perimenopause Program is built around a different framework. Mary Dealy, FNP-C looks at the full hormonal triad — estrogen, cortisol, and insulin — and how their interactions are driving your specific symptom pattern. From your initial 60-minute consultation through your comprehensive lab review, personalized treatment plan, and follow-up visits, you are supported through every step of the process.
This is not a one-size-fits-all protocol. It is a clinically guided, individually designed program for women who are done being told their symptoms are just part of getting older.

FAQs
What is the functional medicine approach to hormone optimization?
Functional medicine for hormone optimization identifies the root causes of endocrine imbalances rather than only addressing symptoms.
This process involves advanced diagnostic testing of estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, cortisol, and insulin levels. By analyzing how these hormones interact with your unique biochemistry, Mary Dealy, FNP-C develops individualized treatment protocols to restore systemic balance and improve metabolic health.
How does GI mapping improve gut health?
GI mapping is an advanced functional diagnostic tool used to identify the specific bacterial, viral, and fungal imbalances within the digestive tract. It detects markers for chronic inflammation, H. pylori, and food sensitivities. This comprehensive data allows for the creation of targeted GI restoration protocols that address the foundation of the immune system and nutrient absorption.
What should I expect during my initial 60-minute consultation?
The initial consultation is an in-depth clinical review of your medical history, current symptoms, and lifestyle factors. Mary Dealy, FNP-C evaluates your health goals and determines which advanced functional lab panels are necessary to investigate the underlying causes of concerns like brain fog, fatigue, or weight changes.
How does the perimenopause program differ from standard care?
Standard care often relies on basic lab work that may return within "normal" ranges despite persistent symptoms. Our program utilizes a comprehensive framework that looks at the hormonal triad of estrogen, cortisol, and insulin. This allows for the identification of subtle shifts in the years leading up to menopause, providing a clinically guided path to symptom relief.
Does functional medicine involve prescription medications?
Treatment plans are individualized and may include bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), medical-grade supplements, or pharmaceutical interventions when clinically indicated. The focus is on using the most effective, evidence-based tools to restore optimal function to your body's systems.
How often is lab work monitored during treatment?
Continuous monitoring is essential for safety and efficacy. Following your initial lab review and plan presentation, follow-up visits and lab panels are typically scheduled at the three-month and six-month marks. This ensures that your dosage and protocols are adjusted in real-time as your biochemistry responds to treatment.
Is functional medicine covered by insurance?
BeautyEtc Aesthetics operates as a cash-pay practice to ensure that treatment plans are dictated by clinical need rather than insurance restrictions. While we do not bill insurance directly, we can provide you with a superbill that you may submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
